Church of the Nativity Rumuewhara Oro-igwe within the Diocese of Port Harcourt is a community of parishioners with various cultural backgrounds who are united as a dedicated holy family of faith brought together by our Heavenly Father, empowered by Jesus Christ, and transformed by the Holy Spirit we call others to join us as we witnesses to the good news of Jesus Christ our goal is be Christ's in our world as He leads all to the gift of eternal life. Members of this community are asked to unite their time, talents and treasure together.

In his Christmas message at the midday “Urbi et Orbi” blessing on Christmas Day, Pope Francis speaks of how the Child Jesus reveals God's tender love for each one of us, which brings about “the joy that consoles hearts, renews hope and bestows peace.” He prays for world peace and calls for every effort to stop violence and help those who are suffering.
