History of Church of The Nativity
A journey that began almost two decades ago has blossed and increased inn all ramification.It is perfect reflection on the realization of Gods command in the book of Genesis 25:28 "Be fruitful and increase" The Church Of The Nativity indeed has blossmed in fruitfulness and has increased in both number and value. It was a mission that was sown in the heart of Very Rev.Monsignor Cybrian Onwuli many years ago and like a mustard seed has grown huge to shelter Gods people and have nutured several other branches(our stations and parishes).Over the years,The Church of the Nativity has been steady and committed towards fulfilling it‘s mission to evengelize the Rumuewhara,Oroigwe community and the shine forth as the beacon bringing Gods word- Christ Jesus to the people.Hence it is today the rallying point as the Center of Oroigwe Deanery
Location and Layout
The Church of the Nativity is among the 21st century Millennuim parishes created by and for the Catholic Diocese of Port Harcourt during the episcopacy of His Lordship,Bishop Alexius Makozi of blessed memory.The Church of the Nativity is situated in the Rumuewhara community in Oroigwe Kingdom of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
